SHIRTS!
-remember you all ordered youth shirts? yeah well they’ve been in for awhile and it got really boring keeping them for you so I gave them away to Alan Mathews, contact him to get your shirt (if you paid!)

-Won By One is back in concert, November 21st. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for kids, more info at wonbyone.ca
SARAH JOHN
-keep Sarah John in your prayers no matter what. We’ve discussed the strength in unity and prayer and let’s keep that going.
EVERYTHING ELSE
-like usual, if you want to do anything at all with or for the youth group let me know! We’re not gonna limit you and contrary to popular belief: it’s not hard. Think I’m too mean? Contact Jonathan Vadaketh for skits, Shilpa Thomas for youth service, Andrew Abraham for praise and worship, Tanya Thomas for community outreach. Can’t find what you’re looking for with them? Yeah, you’ll have to talk to me :)
Paradoxilly, AWAKE youth has been dormant for some time now…and I take most of the blame for that..SCHOOL TIME! But we need to sustain this group mutually and you all need to want more for this group and its affiliates. Let’s bring AWAKE back again!!

Now, THIS SATURDAY, we’re having our youth picnic, EVERYONE’S INVITED!! (Youth that is..) SO MAKE SURE YOU COME OUT!!
It’s at Huron Park in Mississauga from 12-6
there’s no admission fee but it would help a lot if everyone could bring one food or drink item!!

The PRAY
-The Parable Renditions of AWAKE Youth…or the PRAY for short. Our new skit team! If you to be apart of it then contact Jonathan Vadaketh. We will be performing spiritual skits at every youth service and more! Their debut was this past Sunday with their skit, “Gravity”. Get ready.
Semi-Formal
-This Saturday is the Summer Semi Formal, BE THERE!!!! Details are below
AWAKE Shirts
-money for the AWAKE shirts are due on the 26th of July at the latest…if you want to see the designs, go on the facebook group or e-mail me. Any late orders must have their money with them when they place their order. We will not be taking orders for a few months after this in order for the orders to build into bulk shipments, in the fall/winter we’ll be making hoodies and track pants and whatnot so look out for that!

-t-shirts are on sale! $10 per shirt (black/white) any size…orders are due July 12, write on the discussion board of the facebook group to place your order! If you don’t have facebook, you can e-mail me about it!
-the event calender has been moved to AirSet! You must register for it, but it literally takes 15 seconds! Also, an added bonus is that you’ll get text message updates for events if you have a cell phone! Along with many reminders, click the link below to view/sign up

-the prayer meeting on July 12th at Jason and Sherin John’s house is still on! Except the time is during the day. Everyone come around 1:30PM!

-the youth semi-formal has been postponed, it is NOT on the 5th, it will most likely be on the 26th, so everyone keep that day free!

Hey Guys!!!! East and West are finally getting together again..this time for a summer semi formal! Well you already know most of the details from the invitation but we really want you all there! I understand that it may difficult for many of you to actually get to etobicoke, but rides are definitely NOT a problem! If you need one, contact Shannon/Ashlin (East) or Jithin Mathews (West) and they’ll arrange one for you! The price for the night is $30 for all you can eat and drink! The time is from 6:00PM-11:15PM. A lot of you approached me about the semi being too short so now we have a change in venue! The Crooked Cue. The night will include a buffet, drinks and unlimited pool playing! At the same price as Mandarin with the added bonuses it’s worth the money! I definitely hope to see you there, and invite every youth member you know..if you have any questions at all, feel free to call/e-mail either me, Jithin, Shannon or Ashlin. Take care! -firstly, thank you to EVERYONE who helped out at the ground blessing, the turnout was amazzzzingg and quite frankly, a blessing!
-youth formal is coming up! everyone check out the invitation for more details!! E-mail me asap if you haven’t gotten an invitation and I’ll add you onto the list
-there’s a prayer meeting this Saturday at Rhea’s house. Details are on the calender. Everyone involved in Sunday’s youth service should be there 2 HOURS EARLY, NO EXCEPTIONS
-this Sunday, the youth will be leading the church service with skits, praise and worship, a sermon by Deryl Abraham and much more!!

hey guys I got some updates for you
-we need 10-15 volunteers to help us with the new church Ground Blessing on June 8th, it’s a simple but effective job, if you’re interested, please contact me at awakeyouth@gmail.com, volunteer hours will be given if necessary
-if you’re interested in singing for Praise and Worship for the next youth service, please contact me immediately! there’s practice at my house tomorrow aftermnoon at 12:30-5. contact me for info
-everyone make sure that they come out for the next prayer meeting as it is very important! we will be discussing the youth group’s structure and what we want from it and what we can do about. At the moment, it is still on June 14th but since so many of you have exams coming up, it MIGHT be postponed along with the service
-we will be having a youth semi formal soon in conjunction with the east side church, we’re pulling out all the stops on this one so get ready to buy your tickets!!
-there’s a problem with the youth gmail account, I can receive emails but I can’t send them out, this problem will fixed shortly
-we are making a compilation of conference testimonials to play at the upcoming youth service, if you’re interested in being apart of this please contact either Shilpa Thomas or me
