conference’09 = <33

like everyone mentioned already, this years conference was ammaaazziinnngggg x 10000. i’m happy a lot of senior and junior youth cameout, i definitely met a lot of new people. this conference made me change my perspective on Life and how to deal with certain things…i learned how to put my troubles in Gods hands and put all your hopes in him… let him carry me through it and he will never let me down. and i learned i need to pray more..praying definitely gives more hope in anything and everything, it gives you more power to stay strong and it helps you move forward in life.
I’m very glad that i was in the committee doing the souvenir because even though it was very stressful and hard trying to finish everything on time when you have school work to do as well, at the end of the day its all for our God and its fun working with people that you were never close with, also you feel happy for doing something like this for your own church.
again i hope next years is 10 times bigger and better than this one!!! =D

Conference 09

Conference 09 was tooo good. Everything about it was awesome.. from the number of delegates (160+) to the Camp Medeba, Personally I came to conference to rock it out at the Praise and Worship sessions with all the delegates, I love music and I love worshiping our Lord with it, especially with large groups who are just as enthusiastic about it as me. I thank everyone who came, and showed so much vigor and positive attitude towards this years conference.
And we all have to thank God for the grace and mercy he poured out on all of us this year.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to take a quick moment to really say thank you to everyone who made conference such a blessing this year. All the folks who planned it, who attended and especially for those who were praying for us at home.

Not to age myself, but this is the year I can officially say I’ve been going to conference on the May 2-4 for half my life and every year I walk away with something different and equally important. This year was really about how important this youth group is to me - not only the people I’ve known for years, but those I’ve known for days too. I know I wander in and out and kind of float around the edges at times, but what an amazing gift to have this group that prays for me and who will let me pray with them . I said to someone this week its like when I show up theres not alot of ‘where have you been’ and much more ‘we’re glad you’re here.’ What a cool thing - I imagine thats what Jesus would say too.

peace,
anita:)

Hey guys, thanks to both the organizers and all the delegates for a fantastic conference! It was a wonderful weekend for me, personally & spiritually. I know the Spirit was with us that weekend and that was just the beginning! I’m excited to see what comes next!

This conference was not any different from any other conference. Conference as usual was a blast. But there was something that I gained from this conference that I can’t really explain. For those of you who don’t know, my initial reaction to this conference was “just another party”. And while this was a party, this dedication of all the dedications I had been to must have hit me the hardest. I was looking for an idea as to where alot of people stood in faith and that I found. But more importantly I was trying to figure out where I stood and how I could progress - call this self-actualization/self-realization but thank God I found it at this year’s conference.  I hope this spiritually uplifting experience was communal and I hope that the conferences to come are just as spiritually fulfilling. God Bless everyone who worked on this and thank you all!

Hey  All,

Well  I thought too this camp  was unique in many sense. We saw rains 1st day ( showers of blessing)  a bit of snow flurries 2nd  day ( For those who  got up  real  early like me  reminded me of the promise from Bible Issiah 1 :18)Though your sins be as scarlet,They shall be as white as snow.  Sunny  on 3rd day.So  we got a mix of all  weather.

Secondly,The dedication time was inspiring too  cos we saw many commitment, dedication and restored relationship .The idea of prayer warriors praying over all the delegates was quite moving too as many kids came front with out any fear or inhibitions.
The singing group was awesome in truest sense and songs like Mighty to  save and Still are ringing in my ears duriing my travel to work  and even at work:)

The Skits  were awesome by PRAY group. Ha Ha making Alex achen the killer was quite an idea  .lol .
I was so  impressed by Junior kids skits Kevin  Koshy and Naveen John  ..Seriously we have quite a bunch of talents in our church.

I feel the easier part was the camp  .The bigger challenge will be follow up  in the coming days. I am  sure we all can put out head and heart  to come with some concrete plans to address the needs.A easy way to begin  is Start PRAYING more earnestly

God  Bless  our Youth  Group:)

R.Y.C. ’09 = superfragilisticexpialidocious

Superfragilisticexpialidocious = it comes from these following words: super- “above”, cali- “beauty”, fragilistic- “delicate”, expiali- “to atone”, and
docious- “educable” with the sum of these parts signifying roughly “Atoning for educability through delicate beauty.” According to the 1964
Walt Disney film, it is defined as “what you say when you don’t know what to say”.

Thank you = Medeba Conf. Center for having us and tolerating us, Senior Youth for theirCommitment and Hardwork; Deligates/Junior Youth for their
undivided attention to wat was happenin and Cooperation with the committe and their rules n’ regulation; Committe for puttin on the
history makin/trend settin/though provoking/spiritualy elavating/eye openin conference ever; God for makin it a exteremely successful
event n bringing all the youth togather.

My Reflection = i did my first ever public testimony; I am Spiritually pumped, With Godsgrace it wont inflate and help me to commit to the Marthoma
youth and its spiritual walk ahead; It taught me paticience/practise makes everything perfect/if all hell goes loose “IMPROVISATION,
IMPROVISATION, IMPROVISATION”; All my best wishes to West Sidefor their endeavor for makin next years conference
                        even bigger.

Fun n Fellowship = again superfragilisticexpialidocious, indeed the most fun i had in a loooongtime, the talks n’ discusions gave me a new prespective to
look at the worldly problems the come head on at u.

Pros  = Too much to type

Cons = Weather, no Bonfire (missed it too much)

God bless MTY
